My name is Chris Free and I’ve been collecting Snapple bottle caps since 2002. I learned about the Snapple “Real Facts” from my friend Dan, who drank a Snapple at lunch every day our freshman year of high school. I saved Dan’s caps and asked other friends and family to start saving their caps for me too. My collection really took off when I started to loot our local recycling center for Snapple cap treasure. Before college, I’d amassed a collection of ~15,000 caps, having had fewer than 100 Snapples in my whole life.
In 2012, I met Skip Freet, another Snapple cap collector with an even more impressive collection. Over many years, Skip collected and meticulously organized ~60,000 Snapple caps. When Skip passed away, his family kindly left his collection to me, bringing my collection to ~75,000 Snapple caps. This is the largest collection in the world according to RecordSetter.

I’m still missing many caps! Some are rare because they won contests, some were printed in the 1990s before I began collecting, and some were likely never printed.
